Here are my band’s combined pics from Rock the Light 2005. The band was made up of member’s of my church worship band.

We had a blast! We were able to play loud and hard, had an extremely short set-up and sound check time, played 4 songs, and then we were done. Whew! But since we played, our passes let us stay the rest of the day and enjoy all the other bands (including Jeremy Camp and Third Day on the Main stage).

Funny story - I brought my own snare drum, but decided to play the Peace Drums snare drum that was provided. While the rest of the band did a sound check, I fiddled with the snare drum - tightened the heads and loosened the tension on the snare wires a little. Well. Right before we counted off the first song, the snare wires unscrewed themselves from the drum’s on/off switch thing! Yikes! I had the 4-measure introduction (about 10 seconds) to fix it… and did. But then, about every minute or so, the snare strainer would turn off, so I had to constantly turn it back on while playing.

Note to myself - next time, use your own snare drum, no matter how nice the other one looks.
