Update: In the comments area, Paul provides the actual URL – thanks, Paul! And Paul – for the . hit the 1 key.

What did I discover? Our way cool horizontal menu bar? Doesn’t work. Normal links DO work, though. I was able to click through to an image and an article in one of our subject guides.
Thankfully, we’re working on a redesign – we’ll have to focus on STANDARDS… CSS, XHTML, etc. so the world can browse us. Even those using cell phones!
I just used the simulator to check one of our databases that is proxied by EZproxy. It actually works! I haven’t tried it yet with my cellphone but will do so when i get time. The simulator actually let me enter my sername/password for access via EZproxy to InfoTrac OneFile. I was then able to search the Gale database and then displayed the full text of an article. it is a bit clunky since I had to keep moving down through all of the links but it does work. I am going to do more extensive testing and will write it up on my blog. The biggest problem with testing on an actual cell phone is paying for downloads at 1 cent per kilobyte.

And if you’re looking for the actual link to the simulator, it’s at http://www.opera.com/products/mobile/operamini/demo.dml
Still trying to figure out how to enter a damn “.” with this interface!
